Ecks Shed is an unusual typology based on conflicting ideas: seriality and the investigation of a concrete theme on the one hand, beauty and subjectivity on the other. The series focuses on places or objects that seem to belong to another era in order to make visible the role that history plays in contemporary images. Where does meaning reside in images that are part of a typology? Is it in the following of a quasi-scientific methodology, in its historical associations, or in the revealed subjectivity of the photographer?
